Phalaenopsis Samera (violacea x bellina) Male
Default Phalaenopsis Samera (violacea x bellina)

This is a cross I picked up from Hausermann's in April. It's grown like a weed, and look what I spotted today... If this is 2 roots growing from the same spot, I'm the unluckiest man on the planet. However, from the look of the lower one, I'm gonna argue it's a spike (I'm an optomist...).
What do you all think?

I agree, the lower one looks a little vertically flattened, so it could be a spike.

Come one and join the violacea club! I already have the three major varieties, Sumatra, alba, and 'Blue.'

Oh, the scent... You have no idea. Sweet citrus like scent. My violacea var coerulea smells like a stick of big red. Fantastic!
