I am soaking the chids today and noticed a lot of sap on two of my phals. I had no idea this could happen with leaves, but makes sense since I have Onc and Cyms that have sap on their leaves. I have never seen it on phals though. One of the phals has a damaged leaf and that is the one with all the sap on it. There isn't sap on the bottom leaves, just the top one.
Seems to be on more chids than I thought. My hands got sticky when I was taking them out of their soaking containers. I guess I have happy chids. I'm not sure why, I neglect them. Maybe that's what they need. Too much love can kill them as I learned the hard way!
I have a noid Phal that does this all the time... most of the leaves have tiny little drops of sticky sap on the undersides. It has always grown very quickly and seems happy anyway.
