Congratulations on the double spike! Blooms are beautiful! Is that a root growing on the left?

thanks you
and yep thats roots..lots of them busting out..The pic of the flowers is not so good but the blush you see across the edges of the flower and the back is real ,not the product of the bad photoman..The flowers seemed to almost have a shadow built in to them. The back of the flower is 2 shades darker than the front and that rolls around the edges for effect.

Oh Wow! I thought that was just the camera. That's great to have it pink on one side and purplish on the back. Great job! Hmm I didn't know roots can come out where spikes grow (in between the leaves). Doh that means that one of my nubs is going to be a root. I was secretly hoping for triple spikes! How did you get so many flowers from your spikes? How many spikes are in that photo?

yes its kind of an odd effect of the flower. After I looked at it, I felt I needed to make that distinction from my bad photo habits and one of the flower.

Over 40 blooms and 2 spikes..looks like more spikes but the spikes are branching. And,I bought it with all the flowers It wasn't me. I pick out good plants though

What I want to know is how you got this one home with you! It looks like it would swallow anyone whole if they even attempted at moving it! You must've been very carefull not to break the stems! So beautiful! And now it's blooming again! Good growing!

transporting them home in one piece is part of the orchid game . I think Ive only broken one orchid getting it home. It wasnt my fault. Umm okey I didnt put his seat belt on cus he wanted to look out the window on the way home. Paphs like to see whats going on ya know .
He launched himself out the seat thinking he could fly the rest of the way when I stopped..ooops..a proper burial was given
