Default Mounting phals

I decided to put my keikis onto some driftwood. I tied them into place with fishing line so that there weren't any heavy looking wires everywhere that sometimes spoils or detracts from the overall effect.

LOL! There was a distinct need for driftwood since the windowsill was so crowded. I've even put all of my pliones outside to make room lol.

Why is it that we are all running out of space for orchids? I'm thinking about getting rid of some of my other plants. The phal mounted on driftwood looks great!

It looks very nice. Make sure that it doesn't dry out too much. Maybe you need to mount some more plants for company.

I think that mounting more plants for company is a great idea! I once did a whole tree, but taking it to the shower to water it in the winter proved to be a little much. It might have been different if I had a sunroom or greenhouse, instead if a front window. It did look pretty, though. I think that the parrot that I had at that time did enjoy looking at it. I just have a tiny parrotlet now, but even he says "very, very pretty greens!"

Funny that you should mention the shower. I have my tolumnias mounted on tree branches, arranged as a tree. I spray them in my bathtub before breakfast, and put them back before going to work. I've kept the pot light enough for me to carry. I have no birds, just a cute little maltese. She doesn't care, orchids don't make good treats, and that's fine by me.

Thank you! I have to be careful of my parrots getting hold of them because mine would eat concrete - seems like it sometimes, anyway lol. I keep the moss well sprayed to keep it moist but time will tell!
