Default One of the survivors

Four weeks ago, I moved (finally after 10 months) into my greenhouse and on the third day my gas heater pilot light went out and it got down to 41 F before we noticed and frantically got things up and running again. It was probably down about 4 hours or so...but that was enough

I had JUST gotten some new phals from Brennan's that were in spike with some buds.
This particular plant, Phal (New Candy x Ever-spring Girl) X Phal Kiska, had two buds and a spike that was growing.
Alas, the spike stunted and the tip shriveled etc.
The plant itself is fine and to my delight, the two existing buds continued to mature and opened

I just love the contrast of this butterscotch lip on the white. Plus, I love butterscotch

Such a shame about your pilot light. That's a bummer.

I love your Phal. I've never seen one with a caramel lip before.

Glad it survived. I've not seen that colour lip before either. Really nice!

Very nice. Sorry about the heating issue. Hopefully everything survived even if some blooms suffered??

No worries on the heat issue....just a few bud blast and spike losses for the phals but they are otherwise doing fine.

The catts actually enjoyed it I think

I'm just glad the temp did not get any lower though...and we made quite sure the "event" would NOT happen again!

As far as the phals, I have ONE other survivor opening hopefully in a day or two...and for the other five spikes, I lost three and two are going strong
