I just broke the entire spike off my phal "Leapord Prince" - the relatively brand new one that had some decent blooms going on. I got in some new humidity trays I was using to expand my growing area and I made one bone-headed mistake and snapped the spike. It was a double, too.

Is he going to be ok? Should I do anything?
It was a clean break.
