I think this is an excellent point!
The outrage should be there to begin with and not necessarily for the blue hue
Outrage over the manner in which the plants are produced and distributed to feed a market that could really care less; the "blue" is just a symptom.
Over the past few years I have seen Phalaenopsis orchids go from flower show specialties to super market stock.
Why does this bother me? It is a symptom of a world that is consumption crazy. Of course, as a US citizen I can only speak of our country. I will put forth our own economy and withering dollar as proof.
The hardest part is for me to look at myself and decide if I am any different
I think I am and I will not elaborate on "why"... in the same sense, I also resemble the problem.
"Blue Orchids" have caused me to look in the mirror and want to be better.
....how's that for wondering off topic!
