My closest phals :)
OK, there is a reason why the workmanship pictured here looks like it's been done by a craftsman.....not! LOL Anyhoo, like I said there is a reason for this. Six years ago a local junkie disabled me with an axe. Long story short, I can't work any more due to several spinal cord operations and the usage of my hands etc. is somewhat limited BUT I wont be grounded by inability or failure, I do try. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it LOL.
My humble collection of phals is building up and I enjoy looking at my airborne greenery waltzing in the gale blowing caused by the Cessna light aircraft in the corner of my bijou kitchen. As long as they don't gather enough pendulum-like momentum to shift the planets axis I'll leave them to get on with it. It'll do me.

Um, axe?
But hey, it doesn't look like the phals mind their aerial homes! Whatever works for you and keeps them happy, I say. Gotta love the ingenuity!

Thank you! LOL yes, it was an axe, a big one. Hit me in the face, months later neck bones started to crumble, 2 discs crushed my spinal cord at the base of the neck. Several ops later I could walk and use my hands. The junkie? well, he was fined £500 (to pay me). I got £30 out of him then later he spent the weekend in jail and was let out - with his bus fare home. Me, I get a drawer full of different meds, permanent severe myelopathy (nerve pain, astonishing nerve pain) etc., etc.... BUT, I can laugh. I'm no victim.

OMG! How awful! Isn't it amazing how justice often fails! But it sounds like you are not bitter and that's important as it doesn't help anything. And it looks like your orchids give you great happiness. I wish you all the best and great success with everything you try. Keep posting your orchid successes

I love your arrangement! I have a few small plants (small mounts, and potted tolumnias) hanging off the curtain rod, but I know I need to watch the weight with that - I may have to try something like you have going!

Hee hee, I'm imagining putting windchimes or bells on the bottom of the pots and creating a nice 'zen - zone'
My best and oldest friend had someone come at him with a machete once at work (unfortunately, he gets all kinds of that in his particular job!) but, I'm sorry to say, it sounds as if you weren't as lucky as he was. Still, it sounds like you have a great attitude, lovely plants and a fabulous garden (was looking through that link you sent me again yesterday )

Thank you for your words of encouragement! It's a far cry form the jungle I had in a conservatory but it's of no consequence I have what I have and I'm sure I'll pull a few surprises yet! lol
