First NOID
An impulse buy today , my first NOID. It's in a 10cm/4 inch pot with one spike. It's not a fabulous example of the type but it's pretty and it'll do for me. It's actually darker colour in real life.

What a cutie!! Some Noids are definitely worth buying. Looks like it had Phal equestris somewhere in it's parentage. Depending on how strong the influence is, this one is more likely to produce keikis.

Thank you Camille. The colour is very much darker in real life, a very dark purple/pink. I thought I would buy it because it was tiny compared to my normal size phal types. Unlike the large flowered pure white supermarket orchid, Schnee Koningin, that I have, it had no name so I thought I'd give it a home lol.

If it does go keiki mad, can I put my hand up for any un-wanteds? I like the edge though, it makes the main pinkyness stand out. Are you going to give 'it' a name? After all, I always feel that 'noid' is such a horrible sounding title for such lovely plants .... Sorry, this is me going soppy again!

LOL Of course you can have a hundred of 'em! Think I could call it Noidella???? The white edging isn't so pronounced as it is in the pic. Perhaps the light coming in from behind has accentuated it. It's a pity the darkness of the colour hasn't come through. I may 'fiddle' with the pic to get a more accurate shade and then post it

Very Cute!
I would be tempted too if I saw one like that !!
Although to be honest, I'm fast running out of space and becoming more & more orientated towards species, especially, ones which grow better for me.Although, there's always a 'hole' to be found to just squeeze one more in & especially so, when It's a mini!!! I think It's about time I visited a garden centre & get myself a mini noid phal!!
& guess what?
I just thought of the right 'excuse' for going..
need to buy some pet food and litter!
Thanks Alot! here we go again OB 'enabling' again.... wonderful excuse!

Kelo, that looks pretty much exactly like mine although my flowers seem to be clustered together more tightly- could be growing conditions where it came from. Are they really tiny flowers and the largest leaf no more than 2 inches long?? I guess they get shipped all over the world at the same time! I think I'll try another photo of mine!
