thanks Nicole - first Phal that not only didn't die in my care, but has actually thrived - between the two plants in this pot, there were 6 spikes this past year. Sequentially blooming - I just recently cut them back because I couldn't fit the plant on the windowsill for a few months already.

Does yours have ruffled petals too? I've never seen another one that consistently blooms with all ruffled petals. (That's really the only reason I still have it.)

Not consistantly like yours, but every now and then. I was mostly refering to the color pattern though, and I've seen so many with this color pattern throughout orchid board and nursrys/grocery stores. Mine is blooming right now, and are sort-of ruffled, but all the blooms are backward! (don't leave your house for more than a week and let your mom take care of your orchids, or at least remind her not to turn them around.:blushing:)

(gone to orchid heaven :tombstone:) and another NOID, who is currently growing roots like crazy! :D

its in full bloom now. i didn't realize it til today, but i went to sit down on the sofa next to it and its FRAGRANT. its subtle but very much present. i kept getting wafts of something and didnt think it was the plant til i poked my nose towards it and wow. its smells of plumerias or some kind of tropical citrusy soap. very clean and light. what a great noid
