The spot has not changed for a VERY long time! Since they were transported during our cold winter, me and my awesome friend, Silken, who got it from an out of town show, so we suspected that it was just some damage from the cold, that just took awhile to show the actual damaged tissue. The small black spot is tough and not mushy, so I feel no alarm about it, but thanks for the concern!

Nice flower Cody. Here is my recently opened Penang Girl, also from Paramount. Inteesting to see the variations in the offspring of the breeding. I dont think that Paramount remade this cross, they bring in a lot of flasks and seedlings and grow them out.

OMG!!! Your's is spectacular!!! Mine actually opened it's second bud several days ago, but I was waiting to let it fully open to take pictures. It has WAY more colour than the last bloom, but less than yours and more pinky. The fragrance is also heavenly!

Okay, so after about an hour trying to get a good picture, I wound up with four that were okay. So, using my Photobucket picture editor, I wound up with this, which is the closest to the real colours and hues of the real bloom. (Which I pollinated just after taking the pictures.)

UPDATE TIME!!!

It has been four and a half months since the last flower! Since then, the spike dried up, it grew two whole new leaves, a bunch of new roots, and A BRAND NEW SPIKE!!! It has been slowly pushing out what I thought was a root, but I am now sure it is a spike. I hope the flower colour is better, but I guess we will see in a few months.
