Phal. I-Hsin Spot Eagle 'Montclair'
I love this bloom-- the petals and sepals are as round as can be and though the pic isn't very good, it has beautiful marbling of its deep purple/red coloring. It's not an overly large bloom but it is waxy and of heavy substance. It has a delicate and sweet scent as well.
This is a new addition to my collection and comes to me from Norman's Orchids (orchids.com). They did a fantastic job of packaging the plants-- now, if only FedEx would have done an equally good of job delivering it (they sent it to Wyoming instead of Colorado-- I can understand their mistake, though, they are right next to one another). So the plants arrived cold and travel-wary. But this plant managed to keep its blooms.
When the final bud opens, I'll take a proper photo of it to share.

Love love love the wine color and the nice round blooms. You find such awesome looking phals, I envy your collection!
You're lucky the buds didn't blast with the long cold trip, I got some phals in bloom/bud last month and despite the heatpack they all blasted within days.

It's a little one!!!! Do what I do... fashion some string around the pot and hang it from the SIDE of the shelf. Problem solved, and with ventilation to boot!

Camille I consider myself VERY luck to have non-blasted buds on this one. And it was COLD when they sent it, too. They added two heat packs, thankfully, but they only last max 48 hours and my FedEx "overnight" turned into three days in Wyoming. FedEx refuses to admit they goofed, too... blamed it on weather, despite the fact Wyoming and Colorado were both enjoying sunny, dry, albeit cold, weather. Bah!
Also, thanks for the compliment on my collection-- it's great to share it with others.

Does yours rebloom off old spikes? Seems like it would.

Sure does! And on top of that, all the spikes I have, (3 total) branch at each node
