Dtps. Taiwan Red Cat 'Red Cat'
This is an odd ball clone with two types of flowers on the same inflorescence. The plant was bloomed by Orchid Center in Waianae, Hawaii. The clones of 'Red Cat' are quite spectacular with the markings and patterns on the flowers. In this case, one flower retained its solid color without the markings and patterns. This is a first bloom so it is not sure if the plant will bloom this way in the future.

Ooh really nice.
Interesting about that first flower. Mauro showed a Catt picture yesterday which had one flower with different colouring (reduced pattening on the lip) and he said it was just something that one ocasionally did, maybe this is the same in this hybrid.

This is one of my favourite phals. I did have one then I killed it! Let's hope that future flowerings are not of the solid colour.

Oh WOW! I haven't seen this one before. I absolutely love how it has two types of blooms. But the flowers with the markings are absolutely spectacular!
