No worries it's just hard to tell from the photo. I defiantly see new roots. That's great. And to the left I do see two green nodes they are just really small and not yet developed much in the photo. I am sure in person they look like good strong spike starts. I can't wait to see a photo please post one when she comes in bloom.
Yes the third sike is down in between a leaf. You cannot see it from the pictures. I cannot sense a smell to the mini mark, but I will check today when I get home from school. I will post a picture of what the other phal. could turn out to look like. The seller sent me a picture and all of the plants had different colored flowers. From purple to red to orange. I guess it will be a surprise.
Here is the picture of the phal. (Harford's Jewel 'Carney Red', AM/AOS x Venusberg 'Copperclad') that I said that I would post earlier today. As you can see in the picture there are 4 different plants, all with different colored flowers. I can't wait for mine to bloom.
Chris147-> The one in the right corner is especially cute! with the yellow and red.. And the orange one too.. In fact they are all real pretty. Now I'm getting excited for you as well! :b
I don't care whether it is a spike or a bloom. This plant is on fire. Roots growing everywhere. Spikes all over the place. I will definatly post updates of the spikes progress. I hope that they will grow fast, so that I can see what color it will turn out to be. I am so excited.
