Default Two Blooming NOIDs

Here are two NOIDs in bloom. The first one was given to me by my son for my birthday two days ago. I thought the ruffley petals were very interesting. It has 7 blooms and is quite large. Unfortunately it appears as though it has not been watered in quite awhile. The leaves are kind of limp and wrinkley. It's in a clear plastic pot and I can see the roots and they look fine, no sign of rot. I gave it a good soak in the sink this morning. The second one is one of my $9 rescue plants left to die at a big box store.

Thanks for looking.

Love the ruffles!
Are there any pure white phals?
including the petals, labellum, sepals, anther and stigma ?
Anyone know?

The second one looks like a Phalaenopsis Philippinensis.

Just browsed my book, "The Orchids of the Philippines" by Jim Cootes.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. There really is something classic about a white orchid isn't there? They look lovely where ever you put them. Maybe that's why interior designers love them so much.

Thanks msm for the possible ID of NOID #2. I'll check it out, though I doubt there is any way to know for sure.

In my opinion, I don't think the second one is philippinensis, mainly due to the rounder shape of the sepals which is not seen in many of the white Phalaenopsis species.

However, this doesn't mean the hybrid doesn't have philippinensis in its parentage though...
