Does this spike count?
Does this count as reblooming my first orchid? I bought this phal a few months ago. Its roots were sad and its leaves were floppy. However, it did have 2 spikes that were done blooming and had been cut back. I repotted it and it has firmed up and started to really look good. Then one day I noticed that the two top nodes were swelling. I now have 2 respikes. So, does this count?

Well, I think a respike would count as half a point, but you have two....I guess it counts! ![Very Happy](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

If you like flowers and blooms, it does! Even if it is a re-spike, you're getting something out of the deal that is the desired end result-- a pretty plant! So congrats.

Congrats good job ![Thumbs Up](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif) . For me personally, I count reblooms as being brand new spikes... however a side spike is still a success and a good sign the plant is happy. A side spike means new flowers and that's what really matters. ![Big Grin](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/biggrin2.gif)
