D. I-Hsin Sesame
My garden center is having a pre-inventory sale today and tomorrow and I went to stock up on some things at 50% off-- and I found this guy following me...no kidding.... it attached itself to my left hand and wouldn't be put down. 50% off this baby!!!!!! The GC is overpriced in my opinion with regard to orchids but at 25 bucks, this one became one with my clan of Chids.
I'll get a better pic later-- for now-- here is a cell phone pic!
PS-- I also scored 100 liters of hydroton and a 20x20 seedling mat for 25 bucks as well. Oh boy.... good thing I can't go tomorrow.

It sounds like love at first sight between the two of you. May you both bloom and prosper in the New Year! AL

Thanks all-- and yeah I pretty much lucked out on this one. I didn't even know my GC had this yearly sale and to put everything up at 50% is awesome.

Updated picture
This plant has been under my care for a while now and with the growing days and the warmth in the solarium, many of my phal spikes have sent out second growths-- here is Sesame again-- this time I think she has better color.

The latest bloom for this one... The spike is huge this year as it has spent an entire growing season in sh now and it has responded really well. In fact, the plant is easily the largest I have now. The spike is roughly 18 inches long and though I failed to count the buds, it's already opening them as many more are developing. Looks like it wants to branch, too, but not sure it'll amount to blooms or not.
