Dont' Eat the Yellow Snow
Wow its cold here! I know I know.. its not bad compared to Chicago, but its cold for the foothills of NC.
Enjoy
JSC Joy AM/AOS- 10 flowers on 2 spikes- smells amazing
Texas Jewel 'Orchid Konnection'- smells like that hard rock Christmas candy my grandmother buys. Bloom didn't open so good.
Joy Dreamy Jade 'Joy #3'

Well, my plants grow under lights in the basement. Even humidifier can't keep the air moist enough there to keep the petals from sticking together like they did with the Texas Jewel. You can see how the ends on the petals are cupped.
I know where Buchanan is. I lived in New Castle for a few years and worked in Roanoke. Are you a member of the Blue Ridge Orchid Society in Roanoke? Nice group of people.

We're a bit chilly up here in Idaho as well.

haha.. I actually live in Mt Airy, but if you've ever watched the Andy Griffith show, this is the same place. I'm at the foot of the mountains, just inside NC at the Virginia line.
