Compact, novelty and fragrant phals....
I have several compact, novelty type phals. like Phal Lea Marie Salazar 'Red Dragon' or Dtps. Purple Martin 'Champion' shown here. I really like these. A couple of mine are very fragrant. Do any of you have some favorites in this group that you could recommend?

I have a few. It is hard to pick a favorite! My favorite ones would be:
P. Aussies Delight 'Zuma Beach' AM/AOS
P. Orchid World'Joe' AM/AOS
P. Tzu Chiang Balm
P. Summer Venus 'Orchid Konnection' HCC/CCM/AOS
P. Cordova 'Maria Teresa' AM/AOS
P. Sogo Firework 'Orchidheights'
They all are very pretty, have a great fragrance, and are compact

Thanks for all the ideas. I made a list of all your recommendations. Any thoughts on where to buy these small phals? I bought most of mine at Norman's (Orchids.com). I looked at Big Leaf Orchids but some of those prices are outragous.

Another one is phal. I-hsin sunflower. I'm not so sure if it's really small but the flowers have a similar shape to most novelties. This one is easy to grow too! I got mine at hausermanns

I have had good and not as good luck with Big Leaf, you can get some bigger and nicer plants. Orchid Web is another that is a little pricy, but, they have top quality, in my experience, very professional, and good size.

I have acquired some of mine from Hausermann. I know they carry a number of reasonably priced minis.

Its all relative. I mean, you can get a cheap phal in loads of places but if you want something rare or of top quality, you end up paying for it. I've bought from Big Leaf Orchids and the plants are amazing-- very healthy and vibrant. Just my opinion.
