Phal. Zuma Aussies Delight var. Zuma Beach
This little guy just opened its blooms. My dinning room smells awfully good in the morning!

No, you're reading it right. It's just written wrong. I also made a false assumption that it was a cross. It seems that it is an awarded cultivar. Awarded hybrids are given a cultivar name or clonal epithet to distiguish it from its siblings (of the same grex). This clonal name should be in single quotes.
It should probably read: Zuma Aussies Delight 'Zuma Beach' AM/AOS
The term "variety" relates to a unique population of a species with a particular characteristic. (for example, P. stuartiana var. nobilis or P. equestris var. illicos) Another term sometimes used is forma. The meaning of forma is a little different than the meaning of variety, but they both are used to specify a certain population of a species. (P. violacea fma. alba)

OK, I had no idea that there was all that going on. I appreciate the lesson. I understood most of it, 'Zuma Beach' was given to distinguish it from its siblings?

That is so fascinating! I have never had it explained to me like that. The grower I received her from said that she was an award winner. I thought he was just saying that.

Nope. The plant you have is either the actual plant that won the award or it is a clone. It's most likely a clone. But either way it's the same because a clone is genetically identical to the mother plant
Sorry if that confused you more. But the bottom line the plant you have has been awarded
