On a young small plant it probably won't happen, but on an established plant, bellinas will often have a new bud forming as the old flower is fading. This is sequential blooming. Once your plant it larger, don't cut the spikes and they will keep producing flowers for a time.
I have a bellina which blasted it's first ever bud, luckly another is now forming on the same spike and I hope it does better. It seems to grow the spike/buds soooooo slowly
Very pretty! As mentioned before, don't cut the spike off. Next year it will bloom from that same spike and, if you're lucky, it will send up a second spike also. I love those small phals.
