It is a pretty bloom. I am so sorry about the caterpillar's bite. But there is hope for the bloom from the rest of the buds.
I actually sat down and had a good cry when my first spike broke.

thanks goofy. i was too excited to see the bloom and waited for it patiently then suddenly....ahhhh... sad moments...
2nd bud about to open.
hello bellina, counted 6 buds so far and looks like it is still developing a few more.

aw that's too bad
but remember, caterpillars become moths and butterflies, and they are good to have around. I "re-locate" caterpillars found on orchids
