So help the total would be something like 16 dollars. But I do have to say, its a excellent quality phal. So the 16 might be worth it to you, I don't know. The violacea I got is so small-- a little disappointed in just how small it is. But hopefully, I'll keep good care of it and it'll get going for me soon.
Of several of the better known vendors online, I believe their shipping is some of the cheapest. Which is why I plan on getting most of my plants from them when I get the money to buy online.

Very nice plants Ryan. I wouldn't worry too much about the violacea being small. As Rabbit already pointed out they really aren't very big to begin with. It could probably live happily in a 4" pot for the rest of it's life. You have also just discovered that species will tend to cost more than hybrids. Violacea is also very popular so vendors can command a higher price.

Yes, Hausermann is a great vendor. You'd better believe I'll be buying from them in the future.

That first phal is huge. Never seen them that large before. It looks like it's going to bloom en masse.

Should be getting your Sunflower any day now. Take pics if you can-- wanna compare the size of these plants. I still can't get over how BIG the one they sent me is. Just amazing. I hope to repot it into s/h soon. In fact, my daughter is still asleep so I may do that now!

I have never had the experience of aging medium-- mine has always been rather fresh-looking. But with that said, i always repot when I get a new plant. It allows me to assess the state of the plant and if it is growing new roots (which mine is) it'll go straight to s/h. Those phals grown in moss, like all of mine have been from Hausermann's, seem to make the switch to s/h really well- -in some cases, retaining their old roots.
