Default Phal Sogo Lovely - My newest Phal

This was another of my purchases at Tatton Park this weekend. I have wanted a nice harlequin phal for a long while and have seen several NoID's which were just not quite what I was looking for (spots too big or too small or flowers the wrong size or... yes I was being picky!).

This one caught my eye and even better is that it's not a NoID. This is Phal Sogo Lovely and I just love it

(All my pictures can be clicked on for bigger versions)

I also spotted a mutant flower on this one!

The plant is quite large and healthy looking with good looking roots in the pot. I'm really pleased with this one.

Neat one, Rosie. That 'none of your lip' mutant is pretty cool, too.

It's beautiful Rosie! And very healthy looking. What I love about harlequins is that no 2 blooms are ever the same. I have a Noid harlequin, and I just love it to pieces!

Before reading your post I thought that this was an orchid that you had just gotten today, less than a week after splurging at the show!

Rosie tell your husband to be more supportive of your addiction. After all, it take a VERY strong person not to buy every single orchid you see. He should count his blessings.

True... but really he IS very supportive, he didn't flinch a bit shelling out for eight orchids on Saturday

The trick to get around that, now that you have quite a few orchids, is to start buying minis. Order them online, have them delivered at the office and then sneak them home and place they amoungst the others. Since they're small, he won't notice. If he does, just say they've been their the whole time That's how I managed to enlarge my collection right under my mother's eyes, until one day when I was home with the chids she said "There seems to be more orchids than I remembered"
