they are just in the mood to bloom this year ....LOL this one is in bloom and has three or four new spikes emerging also.You can just barely see one of the new spikes a little to the right and up a bit

It does indeed have a very heavy texture....they last quite a long time,and it will most likely be in bloom now untill the end of july at least.Last year it bloomed untill very very hot weather hit.

This year with several more spikes forming I hope to see it blooming a little while longer than last season. Since it has a spike blooming at present, and several new spikes forming that will not be in bloom untill at least the end of june.Barring a bug eating them or something unforseen damaging them.
