i mounted this phal pixie red recently its doing great!! one new leaf ( do new leaves usually come from the crown?) and bunches of new roots!

Yes, new leaves come from the crown. That's why it is so important to keep water out of the crown to prevent rot.

okay, thats what i thought but i wasnt positive the leaves came from the crown all the time

Phals are 'monopodial' which means esentially that new leaves come from the crown and they only have one crown.

When a Phal puts out a side growth (which they do, usually if some damage has happened to the crown, but not always) we call it a basil keiki.

Sometimes a basil keiki can form when there is either no problem with the crown or the crown recovers and you can then get a Phal with multiple crowns... but usually Phals will only have the one crown and the one place that leaves grow from.
