Phals are 'monopodial' which means esentially that new leaves come from the crown and they only have one crown.
When a Phal puts out a side growth (which they do, usually if some damage has happened to the crown, but not always) we call it a basil keiki.
Sometimes a basil keiki can form when there is either no problem with the crown or the crown recovers and you can then get a Phal with multiple crowns... but usually Phals will only have the one crown and the one place that leaves grow from.
