Have you checked paramount orchids Or Zephyrus orchids?

They are sold by almost every vendor, and they are popular plants. They shouldn't be hard to find.

Hi Smartie, Can you tell me how easy the schilleriana is to grow/bloom? I wouldn't mind giving it a shot but like to know if its worth the investment. Regarding Phals, I think my greatest struggle is with the humidity. Most days I am doing something by have a level of about 25%. The plants don't look stressed, but I have never had huge successes. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. Regards, m

This guy is one of the favourites of phal growers...
Mine is having its first spike. I didn't do anything particular.
They can handle more light than other phals.
I never worry about humidity for phals. (unless you plan to make big displays and win awards, then I would go wild with the humidity) Since I have slippers then my humidity is higher around there. My other phals get poor winter humidity.
I also know that schilleriana can be grown slightly drier than other phals, probably why some people mount them. But I don't think it is too much different than other phals, just put it in well draining bark.

I suggest makng a large enclosure with a fan for air movement if you cannot get the humidity high enough. That is the best way, since you are humidifying a smaller space.

25% is quite low, I haven't had it that low. I'm not sure if the hydrometer is reading properly. These things only give an estimate. I have two and they give different measurements. Your nose is a good tool too.

Phals will be fine as a house plant. They are the one of the orchids I feel is actually like a houseplant. (only a couple species I think need the humidiy)

The humidity will increase during the summer, unless you are using air conditioning
