Question Phal new root growth/ spike?

Hi , All seems like my phal is doing good. Has a silvery green bump growing? Also has a pointy spike colored same as fully grown spike, growing? Its very small it looks sort of like a thorn?? can someone please let me know what these are! thanks

sounds like roots due to the silvery color

one is silvery green _> root<_ .. the other is the same color as the spike and looks like a thorn pointy_>not sure what it is<_ the color is purplish green?? tried to take a pic but it cant be seen in the pic.

The greenish silver one is about as wide as the width of my pointer finger -looks very wide. The other one is a small pointy thorn lookalike purple in color.

We really need a picture to be somewhat sure.
Can you tip the plant so that the growth shows?

Yeah, it could be either from the description. Some roots start with a green/redish point before the silver starts showing.

A spike won't come to a point as such, it will have more of a mitten shape on the end, but when they are very small it can be very difficult to tell.
