Phal. Nobby's Fox 'Super Star'
Opened about 5 days ago from a very pointy bud. Fantastic fragrance and substance.

Wow! I hope to find something like that at the Orchid show. Would that do well in an apartment with an eastern exposure.

Phals do great in east exposures. Avoid direct sun. Maintain some humidity. Most of mine are under 6 x 4 foot fluorescent tubes, but a few are in a west window and also do well, flowering etc. I guess the key to inducing flowering is the nighttime drop in temperature. I don't really bother with that, as they are growing in the basement and there is a good temp drop at night and it works!

Sure do!
Nobby's Fox = Buena Jewel x Penang Girl
Buena Jewel = violacea x Gelblieber
Gelblieber = amboinensis x micholitzii
Penang Girl = violacea x venosa
The green color in the petals/dorsal sepal has faded somewaht to a more yellow/cream color, but the fragrance keeps going and going.

That looks very much like my Phal violacea...
I can see where it gets it's "good looks" from.
