Curly leaf, a little help here people? Female
Default Curly leaf, a little help here people?

Hello ladies and gents.

I could not leave this baby at Lidl's yesterday, amongst a lot of standard phals with their roots sitting in water. I saw a pretty pattern on the flower and then noticed the flowers are semi/half or pleoric (what ever terminology you prefer) i had to have her.

As we were walking to the check out i noticed that one of the leaves was not just being pushed up by the packaging, it was curling under on its self.

(I have repotted and taken away all the nasty sodden media and roots)

Does anybody know what causes this, or how i can try to ammend it?

Thanks a lot.

Did it flatten out or did it stay curly? I might try to gently weigh it down.

To me it looks like the leaf is trying to align to the light source. Was it growing near a window?

Dont know. It was in a shop. Actually now you say that, all the leaves are kind of pointing up. so maybe it was grown under a lamp with light only coming from the one direction, above.

Good point. Thanks
Sam
