My phal is done blooming, how do I cut it back (no blooms on nodes)

My orchid's last bloom just dropped off.The stem is brown at the end and then goes into green. How do i cut it back now that its done blooming completely

two ways to cut it....first is leaving part of the stem to rebloom, so you would cut the dead brown part off down to a green node, which allows a reblooming branch to come off the main stem and you get flowers again sooner....second is cutting the stem down to about one inch or so, this allows the plant to concentrate on growing stronger so that your next bloom cycle is better.....its up to you to choose which method to follow....gl and happy growing!

Just as dounoharm has said... personally I favour cutting it right back.
