Phal still blooming but end of stem has turned brown

Hi! I am a new member. I am growing a phal in my office. It was doing extremely well in this setting under the artifical lights. It has a humidity tray and I have been misting leaves occasionally, and watering when needed. A couple of the blooms have dropped off but the end of the stem is turning brown and this brown part is getting closer to the live blooms. Should I cut off the brown stem to the part where its still green?
