Phal. 'Sogo Vivien' Male
Default Phal. 'Sogo Vivien'

Whenever I'm in our local big-box home improvement store, I always see what orchids they have in stock. While it can be a real mixed bag, and you need to cherry pick to get plants with healthy roots, you can sometimes find some really cute plants.

I picked up this Phal. 'Sogo Vivien' yesterday for ten bucks. It had two spikes and a total of eight flowers, and was just too cute to pass up! (That's a 2.5" pot, to give you a sense of scale)

I saw this one in a local big box, too, and almost bought it. After sleeping on it overnight I went back the next day and they were ALL GONE! What a beauty, and I wish I'd not missed it!

That's gorgeous. I would have found it too good to pass up as well.
