Default New Dtps. to pretty to pass up.....

I had to go to town today so I just thought to stop by our local Fred Meyer's in Redmond. Last time I was there last week they had so many orchids in bloom. I thought to wait to see if they would mark some down.....
Well they haven't marked any down yet but I spotted this Dtps. Yellow with dark pink markings and just couldn't talk myself out of it. Since I lost an Oncidium this past week I said what the heck.....
Soooo I brought her home she is so cute. Hope you all like her. Her roots look fabulous....

Enjoy Sheridan

Wink

Thanks everyone I really love this orchid. Yellow is one of my favorite colors and with the pink coloring on the petals just sent me over the edge. They had at least 3 of this variety. It just jumped out at me you all know how that goes.... Don't ya!!

Very pretty! It's a little bit of summer in the dead of winter.

I saw one like that at a Fred Meyers, but it didn't look very good. It was more peloric, but not nicely so, and the pink splashes weren't well-distributed. Lucky you, you found a good one!

I was very tempted by some super minis that had maybe 4-5 inch leaf spans and 6 inch spikes that were really thick and burly looking with dainty little flowers. The juxtaposition was just too perfect. I almost took one home, but I got so many new orchids in the last year, almost tripling my small collection and severely testing the patience of my parents. College years are not especially conducive to large collections of plants, orchids or otherwise.
