Normally the pink markings are a bit more dense and extend all the way to the top of the petals. I think low light conditions affected the coloring, because the spikes are now much too long to be able to fit the plant under the lights.
If the new spike performs like its older siblings, I can look forward to at least another entire year of blooms.
And I think that if I had not cut off the 2 old spikes from the previous blooming 18 months ago they would probably still be budding!
Nicole, do you have a photo of yours? I still haven't seen it in full bloom!
