LOL Rosie, nice trip to the supermarket! I love the little yellow one. Of course if they had had more phals, you would have probably come home with many more! Love the sticky pot theory, and it is so so true! It seems that whatever orchid I pick up, It is impossible to put it down again and walk away. So when I go to the garden center for guinea pig food or other, I make sure my hands are deep in my pockets or holding lots of stuff, so that I can't touch the orchids!

Nicole is pretty bad too. One thing that she 'forgot' to mention is that she has (or had) a 'no more orchids' policy for a while. Except that she seemed to be getting a lot more orchids while that policy was in place, than before it! I even had to go buy one for her and mail it. (but I'll admit that I'm no better....)

Psssssssssst don't let the world know that I'm addicted LOL, but it's true. Since I said 'No more orchids' at least 9 jumped in my arms. All of them are Phal's, Encyclia or crosses with Encyclia.
The fist week from October the Phal's started spiking but I figured out I needed some Phal. blooms in my living room and couldn't wait until January for my own to be ready to bloom LOL.
Camille bought me the Pink Panther and shipped to me, I love that plant! Despite the shipping and the cold during the nights when it was on the way to me, it didn't lose flowers/buds... it has 2 spikes that keep budding and a third one growing. BTW Camille, after I sprayed it with Imidacloprid the flowers still look great!

No I have to find that little white one Rosie bought. She is too cute!

They're very nice Rosie! I love miniphals, the white one with the dark centre looks like mine, it's stunning!!

And this morning when I went shopping I came home with a beautiful dendrobium with loads of tiny flowers!! Only 3.50 euro so I couldn't leave it out there in the cold!!

I sometimes hate having to pass 2 flowerstores when I'm on my way to the supermarket...

@ Blueszz: Nearly everytime I go into an intratuin or different garden centre (which i do often..) they have the miniature white phal Rosie got. Might wanna check it out
By the way your no-orchid policy sounds sooo familiar.. I've also had that policy for a while but ended up ordering a couple anyway... You just can't NOT buy any when you're addicted!
