I had one for over a year, it put out 1 leaf and died I still don't know why, it just didn't grow.

Hi Gloria , It might be the plant you had was just not strong , I don't do anything special for it is in Spag. in a plastic tupper ware container with extra holes burned in it . In the greenhouse humidity min. 50% Temps. approx .63 . Thanks for looking .. Gin

Thanks for that, Gin. I did supect that was the cause, but you never know for sure. Hopefully another source will allow me to grow another someday.
I'm surprised at the low tempts. I would have thought even below the 70's they would get pretty cranky.

Hi , They don't seem to mind the lower Temps . the only thing I am careful about is water in the crown , mine seem to like more light then I thought they would , I have bought 2 plants from the same source , one takes off and the other takes a dump . Most of the species Phals. I have came from Dowrey Orchids no problems with those . Gin
