That is a great colour! Can you recall if it was fragrant? Looks like it could have been.

It's parents are Phal. violacea x amboinensis, so I would believe that it is fragrant. When I was photographing the show it was early in the day and there was no too much fragrance being exuded by many plants.

I've read that they are very fragrant too. I was thinking of getting one but in the end I went for a Phal. Penang Girl instead which is also supposed to be fragrant.

Dark colour on that one and numerous blooms compared to phal violacea

I also have one that hasn't bloomed yet. All the leaves split in half in shipping and I forgave the vendor for no reason I know it was bad packing. I guess the leaves were quite turgid at the time of packing and didn't flex.

It seemed like there were a lot more plants at this years show than last year. Thanks, I was lucky enough to purchase a new camera just before the show, so that helped alot. Ended up with 400+ pics! There will be a few more in my album once I cull rough ones.
