Another one followed me home!
So, we popped in to the supermarket for a couple of things late last night and I just couldn't resist this new mini NoiD Phal off the discount rack.
I bought too many 'chids in August so I've been resisting all through September. Finally couldn't resit any longer.
The great thing was that as far as I can tell the ONLY reason it was discounted was that it had a 'Display Until 18th September' label on it. It was not showing any visible signs of being 'past it's best'.
The flowers are similar looking to the mini NoID Phal my parents bought for my husband and I for our aniversary last month. This one is white rather than yellow on the outside of the flowers though.
I repotted it as soon as I got home as it was very very very tightly packed in moss inside a strange polythene 'pot' which did not appear to be letting any air in to the roots.

That's very pretty Rosie !!!! It seems to have equestris in the background. It look somewhat like Phal Be Tris to me.

Oooh, Rosie, it's lovely. I can see why you couldn't resist.
I've got one that is quite similar... it hasn't stopped blooming since I bought it in July, and is in the process of putting out new buds, while it is still in bloom! Does it have a fragrance? Mine seems to have a faint smell from time to time... maybe just wishfull thinking!
Gorgeous!

I've not noticed a fragrance Nic. I'll try sniffing it at different times of day.

Roly, I can see what you mean about it looking like it may have equestris in the background. I plan to get an equestris one of these days, but for now I'm going to enjoy this NoID
I just hope the buds won't blast after I repotted it last night. I usually risk leaving them and repotting after the flowers have dropped, but this one was packed tight in moss so I decided to repot and risk loosing the flowers instead.

I got one looks the same - a few months ago - no tag - but looks like Be-Tris to me
Mine isn't doing too well tho *sigh*
I'm sure yours will do great - you seem to have the knack for phals that I lack
Nice find!

Look at how many buds there are. Very nice.
Looks like a Be Tris hybrid to me.

I just sniffed mine - it's 7am. I'm sure there's a scent... had to really bury my nose in it! I don't know - maybe it's just honey-dew! I bought it for my mum... needless to say she never got it!!!
I didn't take it out of the moss yet, but I did pull some of the moss out, to give the roots a bit of space.

Great one Rosie! There are alot of hybrids that look like that. I also have one, called Brother Spring Dancer. It's a Be Tris hybrid. And having quite a bit of equestris in it's parentage, it grows keikis nearly every single blooming. It was my very first phal (and 2nd orchid in all) and I still have it!

Thanks everyone!
Not noticed a fragrance yet, might try when some more flowers have opened.
Nic, did yours come from Sainsburys? That's where I got mine. It had a strange polythene 'pot' inside a green plastic pot. There was sooo much moss in there!
