Dtps. Purple Martin 'Kenneth Schubert'
This is one I bought from Big Leaf as a seedling a couple of years ago. This will be it's second time blooming and it's definitely doing a better job this time around. I couldn't get it to hold more than 2 flowers at a time last year. This year they seem to be hanging on giving a much better show. So far there are 4 open with a 5th on the way. The color is a little more on the lavendar side that the picture indicates. It's a very compact plant bordering on miniature.

Beautiful! Love that color! I passed one up at an orchid show last summer and have been kicking myself ever since. This gives me a reason to look at the Big Leaf site (like I really need an excuse )

Beautiful colour. This one has also been on my wishlist as well. Does it have a scent?

Yes Paula it does have a very light scent. It kind of reminds me of grape jelly.

Wonderful! I love how the petals flair back. The flowers kind of look like dragon heads with their jaws open. Well, that's what I see anyways.
