Default Phal Mayamar 'Mt Vernon' - my first blooming of spring

this is my favorate phal, and one of my favorate orchids! I got him for $10 three years ago, and he blooms for me every spring without fail. Currently he has two buds, a kekei root(no leaves, just a root) and this flower .... makes me happy.

Just wanted to share ... (and brag)

Very nice, vibrant colors!! And about posting pics you can post them on flickr.com and then click on "all sizes" and select the size you want. Then right click on the image and click "properties", then copy the "address URL". Paste that on this site and put [img] before and [/img] after.

And you can post pics like this:



...this happened today by my house... I saw a huge plume of smoke and I had to check it out.

What a baeutiful, glowing, shiny red! The waxy/glossy reds are one of my most favorite phals.

Can I ask you how long the flowers last? I'm under the impression that mariae hybrids fold forward after a couple of weeks, but I hope I'm wrong about this.
