Curious about the color, is the picture accurate? I have a Phal Sogo Grape that is a fantastic purple color, but I just can't seem to capture it - instead it looks like your picture (which is great btw, but in my case not the color I want to display)

Hey. I think the picture is pretty accurate. It is sort of an electric purple with a faint spotted pattern. I really like it. There are better pics of this in the Big Leaf Orchid gallery, and I think they are similar, but I am on my notebook right now and the monitor is not as good. On my noteblook the color looks too light, but back home on my regular computer I felt it was accurate.

My recollection of Sogo Grape is that it is a bit darker. Some of these waxy flowers are very hard to photograph because the shine throws the look of the color off. I know what you mean because I have several I've never posted because I just can't get them right.
