A new specialty grocery store opened yesterday, so I went to check things out and these two guys came home with me; they are separate pplants in their own pots. The thing is both have the same name, so either they are different clones or somebody was lazy and just put tags into every pot no matter what the plant was!
very nice, and could be the same plant because the darker one is peloric imo. I was hoping my favorite site still had picture of one that was normal and the peloric version. They looked nothing alike.
I don't think it's peloric, I think it's a genetic oops. It really has two lips. I get the occasional flower now and then that is completely missing a lip.
I think it's likely to be an error, or as you say, laziness on the part of the grower. I've seen plants that absolutely are not the same grex all with identical labels in Lowe's. In that case it was Wedding Promenade.
