Talking Wow, Look what Mother Nature did!

I was just admiring my chids on my pool patio tonight and noticed something strange.

I have a Phal that has two totally different color blooms on her? I thought was kinda weird? This plant has all Purple/white blooms, but ONE. One flower is Yellow/red.

Then I realized that I had these to huge plants full of flowers sitting next to each, for months. Now this one is re-blooming, and coming out with a new color on her.

I remembered that the other Phal that sat next to her, looks JUST like the flower on the other plant.

I guess, that someone reached out and 'touched' the other, huh?

This is mystery flower, and it's siblings on the same spike.

This is the Donor, 'other' plant that sat next to her.

I just noticed, the Doner is my Avatar

Let's wait and see what BikerDoc has to say. He grows a lot of phals.

Gives a whole new meaning to 'reach out and touch someone'.

I believe the term is mutation?
