Phals do NOT have two growth points like yours shows. They are mono-something (can't rememeber the last bit) and only ever have one growth point.
Phals can't be split in the same way as many other 'chids for that simple reason.
I am certain that is TWO phals in that pot, not one! Great news... you have two plants
I have seen them sold that way. A local store recently had 'two spike orchids' on sale and while a Phal CAN have two flower spikes, these had two single spike plants in the pot.
To seperate these two plants may not be a simple matter though. If their roots have grown intertwined with each other it may difficult to seperate them without root damage.
Personally when repotting I would gently try and seperate the roots of the two plants, if that can be done without damange then you can put them in to two pots. If they are very intertwined I would probably give up and put them back in the same pot.
