Yours is very attractive with the stripes and slight blush; mine is pure white on all the flower parts except the lip, which has a wash of dusty rose.

This is making me soooo excited! Mine is about to bloom for me for the first time. Now I'm really anxious!!!

Gotta love those OB connection orchids. I'm getting to the point where a substantial part of my collection (at least the ones I cherish most) are from OB trades. Just another layer of enjoyment that makes the plant that much more special. The OB is the best. Sorry, I get all choked up sometimes. So touching...

I purchased a phal intermedia seedling from Oak Hill Gardens last June for $4. It just started blooming last week as a wee little plant - mine looks a little different than yours - a slightly different gene mix from the same parents!

Yours looks more like the one I have in bloom right now, too. The lips are very similar. I far prefer the lip on Sue's!

Interestingly, all three are likely from the same seeding, as Sue's and mine are also from Oak Hill.

I agree...the plants I've received from my friends, near and far, on OB or in person, are my favorite chids
They hold extra meaning for me
