Phal. equestris 'Three Times Lady' x 'Blue Too'

Good idea about sphagnum around the roots. This species likes to be moist, but dry out between waterings (so I have found)... how come the idea on the Dracena?

Well Pat, the tree has been here doing nothing but growing up and up and up for over 22 years. And one day a while back, I look at it and decided it would look good festooned by a blooming orchid. I got this one, and thought it would be a good time to try.
Now the sphag get really wet when I water it in the mornings and when I come back from work, and before bed. But between waterings it get really really dry. I hope it likes its new home. And I hope its new home can sustain it.

Lets hope it gets there Ryan. Right now I'm more interested in seeing it grow some roots and leaves.

I think the spanish moss would make it look really cool, I love spanish moss, plus I think it will help add humidty too

Do you think the Sphagnum moss would rot the side of the Corn Plant? Hopefully it will do goo there, and grow some roots!

I think the corn plant will start its own roots in the sphag.

Either case is a possibility. Frankly, Im hoping the corn plant will ignore the area, and allow the Phal to grow. The sphag dries up pretty fast on those days when my building has the heat up. I don't think it will rot, as I always wait till it dries to mist again.
