I've seen pictures to show what cinnamon does with healthy juicy roots. It causes them to dry. If I remember well the person cut roots from a Vanda and documented with pictures how the wounds healed with and without cinnamon. I wish I could reacll that thread, I even don't remember if I read it here or on an other forum.
Please be careful with the use of cinnamon as a preventative in your mix, it could harm your orchids. Natural doesn't mean not harmful.
