Default Phal in spike

Recently I moved my phals around to give the ones in spike room to so what they do best. Being so overly cautious my phal. hybrid spikes were snapped off below the blooms by a fan. Talk about being verbally out of control , it was a first bloom for me with this chid.

Question is what do I do at this point, cut back the spike? how low? leave it?

I took photo's of the plant in spike, deleted out of camera but here is the photo with what is left, appears that the spike is yellowing from the tip....no blooms left

Uhhh, what a bad break for you Cheryl. Stupid accidents happen all the time, so don't feel to bad. If its really intent on flowering, it will try again.

Thought this warranted posting, you can have growth from existing upper node. . I'm so cited The top nod is barely showing, the second nod is merely a broken stem and the third is coming right along.

Cheryl, my first Phal also had this kind of growth, but it was putting on a seed pod at the same time, so nothing ever came of it. I hope yours does!!
