Hi everyone.

I purchased this orchid and wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing here.

Growing medium? Light requirements? Fertilizing? Watering?

Thanks for your help!!!!!

It's care is that of any Phal, really. Dappled light, fertilize weekly weakly, water when the medium is JUST dry. In so far as medium, I prefer a bark mix but it really depends on how you grow.

I just ordered the same chid last night!

I keep all the species Phals (including the 5 or 6 equestris already here) either mounted or in baskets hung sideways. They are just outside of the bright Cattleya light (about 8 inches outside of where the Catt section ends on that shelf), the roots get misted everyday and I fertilize once a week during summer and once every two weeks in winter, just like everything else here

Thanks everyone! I bought it with a spike--and the spike keeps getting bigger. I keep mine inside though.
